Which Mustang interior do you prefer and why?
Here's the base interior:
Premium:

Premium, I can't stand those tiny square-ish screens.
![]() 11/22/2014 at 20:59 |

The small screen also has a backup camera too.

I'm not a fan of chrome-plastic or large screens, so basic.

The buttons actually don't feel cheap to the touch, but the click sound they make, is a different story. I think it's a unique touch to the aircraft-inspired interior.

I don't mean the quality of the thing, its the chrome bit I don't like. I hate chrome (there are a few rants about it on oppo)
![]() 11/22/2014 at 21:06 |

The base looks super cheap. I hate tiny screens placed where a big screen is meant to go
![]() 11/22/2014 at 21:06 |

I know, but if they are going to put in screens that big, that might as well go all the way.

I'd prefer premium, but I would be ok with a base. Compared to my 03, it already has a lot more features. In fact, I've realized I don't need anything more then what I have now. Plus, with the base the seat won't burn you during the summer! Or freeze you when it's 20 degrees... Oh how I love leather.

Base interior, because cloth seats.
Though I do love the switches on the center stack in the premium interior.

Ah. I don't like chrome wheels myself. On interiors though, so long as it's not overly done I'm alright with it.
![]() 11/22/2014 at 21:10 |

Heated leather seats though..

That's the one thing I love the most about the premium. I messed with the switches in the pre-production car I was in back in September, and they really completed the cockpit themed interior for me.
![]() 11/22/2014 at 21:21 |

I preferred the base until they offered me base money for the premium. Have a 2014 tho

Ok, I will admit, that would have been nice for the last couple of weeks. Warming up my car for 5-10 minutes after the car has sat all night in 20 degree temps is not fun. The leather is so, so cold.
![]() 11/22/2014 at 21:26 |

How is the 2014?
![]() 11/22/2014 at 21:27 |

I can't even warm up my car for most of my commutes, it takes like 10 minutes, and I always leave in a hurry, so I just get in and go. -_-
![]() 11/22/2014 at 21:30 |

i'd want manual windows if i'm buying base trim , plus no radio.
![]() 11/22/2014 at 21:33 |

depends if any (all) of those craps can be easily swapped out
I would like to have an aftermarket head unit / audio system
![]() 11/22/2014 at 21:46 |

Base. I like usable buttons.
But really though, neither works as no sunroof is available.
![]() 11/22/2014 at 22:26 |

I know how you feel. It takes so long. I always rush in the mornings so I have extra time to warm it up. I put my car ahead of my needs!
![]() 11/22/2014 at 22:34 |

That's how it's done, cars before people! :p

I like the premium interior more, but here's the thing. The question is Ecoboost premium or GT base?
I know for a fact I'm getting a stang after high school, and I know I have like 1.5 years left, but I've already started weighing the pros and cons
Personally, I'd get the cheaper interior for the better engine.
![]() 11/23/2014 at 00:14 |

Damn, that's a easy question with a difficult answer from me. It turns into GT base, or V6 base. I don't like the Ecoboost so it's instantly V6 or V8 like every year before and I'd be happy with either, but here's the problem:
What do you do when this happens?
And now I have to get one before you, that's happening. I want to be one of the firsts on Oppo to have one. I know that we'll be behind Yamahog, who might get one in the spring, so who will be #2?
![]() 11/23/2014 at 01:51 |

you hopefully!
I call dibs on yellow BTW!
![]() 11/23/2014 at 01:59 |
|
Who knows! But I want orange so you can have yellow!
But! Will you get a new or used one? I'm thinking I'll go used if I try for one next year..
![]() 11/23/2014 at 02:09 |
|
I'm going new! I've made a deal with my grandma about it already. I get to pick out a car as a grad gift, just like I did with my first car, only this time around, the budget is bigger since I've got the GLI to sell and cash on top! V8 RWD hoonage, here I come! I already have my dream stang set up...
It'd be a GT base in Yellow with
-Spoiler Delete
-3.55 Rear gears
-optional 18" alloys
-SVT exhaust (aftermarket)
This will hopefully come to fruition! and if not, I don't think anyone on oppo has a Scat pack challenger....

Damn you, we're in similar boats; although, I've got an ST that I can either sell or trade in, parents willing of course. And I'm gonna be much smarter about money this time too. I'm going to start saving now. No more mods for the FoST, and when spring hits, it stays home and the 944 gets driven all the time unless I need more practicality. and I'll be working more during the holidays so extra cash flow, and I've got two periods in which I'd like to get one.
1. August 2015, for my 20th birthday
2. Christmas 2015, for end of the year incentives and sales
Unfortunately, I may have to compromise on my set up, I wanted the 50 years package and that only comes in premium trim($36k) -_-
So here's my set up:
Base GT in Competition Orange
-Spoiler delete
-3.55 gears
I'll be going for a 2016 though if new, just in case there are some bugs with the '15 cars. Time will only tell.
If this color causes you to change your mind, you still can't haz it. :p
Also, Challenger is too big! Which is why I do not want.
![]() 11/23/2014 at 02:56 |

The orange is pretty, but I like the shoutyness of the yellow! if I don't go for the YELLow, i'll get either guard or white, because I love those too.... Also, I might just not get the rims, and find some Performance PKG rims for my car!
the Performance PKG would be awesome too, I just don't know if I can afford it. If I can get $15K for the GLI in 1.5 years, I think I could pull it off. theoretically, I should have a shade under $40K to spend, but like you say time will tell. One thing's for sure. If I have $40K+ as a budget, it's coming down to Performance PKG GT or SS 1LE Camaro
![]() 11/23/2014 at 03:19 |

White is my backup color. My only goal is to be able to get the payments no higher than $350 a month. If I can at least afford a premium when I'm ready to buy, then I'm all set.
I can't do a Camaro because they're too heavy and big, can't see up front, and it looks dated. Unless you wait for the 2016 with the new platform.

I like it quite a bit. Suspension is kind of weak but it is comfortable on long rides like a GT. That is the only bad thing I have to say about it. Mine even though is premium doesn't have the navigation package so I have a rather primitive radio. Not like in my previous car which was a WRX though. Car is ridiculously powerful.

The one that comes with a 5.0.

OT, but, the body color diffuser is gross.
![]() 11/23/2014 at 22:24 |

OT? And Yes, body-color diffuser is much yuck, and you can only get the better one on the Premium Ecoboost and GT.
